Margaret Atwood: (1983) " Happy Endings” is 6 different tale lines and alternate endings, with only four personas. All of the testimonies have different and building plots and explications, they all have a similar ending and that is with loss of life, throughout the testimonies she is hardly ever shy to use death. Atwood uses epigramme through diction, she also uses flat personas, and the girl tricks with the different male or female roles within a relationship, based upon commitment, and adultery. Your woman uses the gothic idea of inapt capability to escape death. Nathaniel Hawthorne: " Young Goodman Brown” was a tale about a spouse facing trial between his religion fantastic wife. The key character Goodman Brown is actually a Christian man who strolls out on his Christian wife " faith”. Hawthorne was very brilliant in naming the characters; he uses the whodunit and images. He requires a different gothic approach, this individual never uses the concept of death like Atwood does, instead he uses religion, plus the concept of heaven and heck, good and bad, proper and wrong. Both experts used comparable techniques in getting their concept across. Atwood uses mare like a gothic effect rather than Hawthorne; I will review both tales and their similarities and differences in medieval terms.
